Mountings and Fixtures

Collektor propose 2 types of premium mountings and poster type ready to be framed.

Aluminum Mounting

Aluminium Panel is very strong and lightweight with a very smooth surface for premium mounting and archival purposes. It is the flattest panel on the market and is recommended for art prints.

The board is made of aluminium skinned with a polymer core. It has all the archival properties, flatness and strength of aluminium, whilst being lighter in weight. It is 3mm thick and available in sizes up to 180cm x 120cm – so it is extremely useful and versatile as an art mounting media.

Acrylic Mounting

Acrylics, though not strictly archival are extremely popular as an art mounting media due their clear and smooth finish. They are used as a facemounted board.

Facemounting uses a clear acrylic with an optically clear adhesive to mount the front of the print to the acrylic. The print is viewed through the acrylic giving it great depth, colour saturation and brightness with the added advantage of front protection for the print. It comes in 6 and 10mm thickness and is available in sizes up to 180cm x 120cm.

Unframed Poster

Unframed posters comes in various sizes up to 150cm x 100cm.

Take it to your favorite framing shop and hang it on your wall.

Fixtures

Both Aluminium and Acrylic Mounting have Aluminium U-Channel with 2 screw holes. Unframed Poster will be delivered in a cardboard tube ready to be framed.
